Well,
I finally broke down and let one of our Red Diamond Labs go over seas to a wonderful family in Latvia in Northern Europe. You can follow her journey on this page. This is the first letter I received from them. It was a new experience for me having to get a Puppy passport ect…It was a success with the help of our vet Dr. Monfert, My great friend Kandi from Red Moon Labradors and her family. UPDATE on Salsa 10/18/12
Good day,
Michaela!
I just wanted to inform you on how our Salsa is doing…
Salsa’s character is heavenly: she is very curious about her surroundings which explains why she points her nose everywhere but besides her nosiness Salsa is also very active and fun. She has managed to learn how to open every single door that she has access to in our house and that actually burdens me to some extent because now all the dogs can go wherever they please. Nonetheless, it is still fun.
Salsa is attending a dog school and her trainer says that Salsa is very clever. We have also started to attend to hunting practices for Retrievers. So far we have been only to two practices but Salsa already is capable of finding a quail or a
rabbit by their trail and bring it to me. I am overwhelmingly happy about the fact that she has this hunter’s instinct.
Salsa has grown into a very beautiful dog with a perfectly correct and proportional body. She has a full set of teeth and all of the teeth are wonderful and in their right places! The other day we went to Salsa’s first dog show and she was evaluated as being pretty good, except that she did not have a typical Labrador head and colour. I have a long road ahead of me before the European people here will finally understand that the heavy, light-coloured, jellylike Labradors are not superior to the red-haired ones… but I will fight as much as I can because, from where I’m standing, there are no other more beautiful dogs in the world than the fox-red Labs!
I will add a couple of pictures for you to see for yourself exactly how beautiful is Salsa!
With
immense gratitude,
Regīna

Dear Martha, Werner, Kandi and Michaela,
I am safe home together with our beautiful puppy Salsa. She behaved very
well in the airplanes – was mainly sleeping. In airports however we were
running and playing a lot – she was the star and all the people were smiling
and making photos of her.
Thank you, Martha and Werner, for very warm welcome to your home, I really
enjoyed it. Thank You Kandi for taking a good care of me and Salsa. And
thank you Michaela for the little beauty that has joined our family.
I attach some photos with Salsa from our garden.
With Greetings,
Andris
