These are the issues we will want to discuss with you during the interview, and it will save time for both of us for you to provide the information prior to the telephone conversation. Each of the puppies we produce are very important to us. We feel we owe it to them to find them the best homes possible

 

1. Do all of the adults in the residence work outside the home, and if yes, who will care for the puppy during the day?

2. What are the ages of the family members in your family?

3. Do you presently own a Labrador Retriever, and if yes, what is the age and gender? Have you ever owned a Labrador Retriever and what were the circumstances?

4. Why do you want a Labrador Retriever at this time?

5. Do you have any pets at this time?

6. Do you have a fenced yard, and if yes what type of fencing and size of contained area?

7. Will the dog be primarily an inside or outside dog, and where will the dog sleep at night?

8. Have you ever housetrained/crate trained a puppy, and if yes, what method did you use?

9. Have you ever seen a Fox Red Labrador? How much research have you done on the Fox Red labrador?

10. What are your plans for the Labrador Retriever’s future, such as Companion only, Hunting, Obedience, Conformation, Breeding? Would you agree to a minimum of qualified obedience training for you Labrador Retriever?

11. Are you familiar with the difference between AKC full registration and limited registration, and what is your opinion on this matter?

12. Would you be receptive to delaying any plans for spay/neuter of your Labrador Retriever, based on research supporting the health benefits of delaying this procedure? If yes, are you prepared to protect and prevent unwanted breedings? What is your opinion?

13. What is your gender and color preference in a Labrador Retriever, and why?

14. Do you have any questions for us that we can address in the interview process?

15. Do you like the looks of the English or American Labrador ?

16. Would we need to fly your puppy to you?
